Silly Science Camps
During the Summer months and breaks in school term, Seanie hosts Science Camps in various locations. At these camps, children get to explore and learn various science and STEM-based activities with almost all the materials supplied. Activites include:
- Make and launch your own rocket to pop off the table in front of you;
- Power a digital clock or LED lights with various fruit and vegetables;
- Use sunlight to create electricity and watch it power a miniature toy car;
- Buid your own Robot Buddy that can waddle around on its own;
- Try to calculate the speed of light with a microwave oven and a bar of chocolate;
- Construct a maglev train with coppper wire, magnets and a battery;
- Build a bionic version of your hand and discover how your fingers actually move;
And lots more!
Camps are restricted in size (max of 15 children) so that each child gets the best attention, with time for lunch and play along the way. These camps have been hosted in places like Birr Castle Gardens, Tullamore Library, and even at private birthday parties.
